This position will be the primary interface between client and the several key departments in the County of San Diego (CoSD) Finance and General Government Group (FG3). Responsible for coordinating all DXC application services to these customers including problem resolution and software delivery. These are high visibility departments that deal with finances, human resources, and the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors. Required:
  • 10+ years of information technology experience.
  • 5+ years experience with direct customer interaction.
  • 5+ years experience leading small teams in the delivery of IT services.
  • Experience troubleshooting and diagnosing the root cause of IT issues.
Working knowledge of the following infrastructure platforms:
  • Mainframe, Midrange, Physical Servers, Virtual Servers, Storage, Networks, End User Computing.
Working knowledge of the following application platforms:
  • Mainframe Applications, Client/Server Applications, Web/Browser Applications, Desktop Applications.
  • Experience in delivering IT services in a complex technically and organizational environment.
  • Experience working with and managing 3rd party vendors.
  • Experience working with and managing leveraged and remote resources in a large corporate IT environment.
  • Experience managing customer relationships and building trust.
  • Communicates effectively, efficiently, and professionally, both verbally and in writing.
  • Is organized and thorough.
  • Possesses strong reasoning and troubleshooting skills.
  • Has a high level of attention to detail.
  • Is reliable and dependable - follows through on commitments.
  • Remains calm in stressful situations.
  • Effectively manages the customer in stressful situations.
