Technical Security Advisor (Permanent)

Location: City of London Country: UK Rate: £80k - £90k per annum
 

Technical Security Advisor - Telco, 5G, Open RAN, NIST, DNS, Telecommunications

Technical Security Advisor is sought by a leading Telecommunications company to lead and drive the Cyber Security culture across various Telco clients based on the Government's new Security Framework. You will be an SME within Security and have a strong background understanding Network Architecture, as well has having extensive 5G and Open RAN experience. The role will focus on core governance and compliance.

This is an excellent opportunity working with an industry leader and the opportunity to grow and develop your career in Cyber Security further. The role will require deep knowledge of the Telco domain with the successful candidate comfortable working across various levels of seniority. This role will require deep knowledge of the telecommunications industry and best practice.

Responsibilities:

  • Work alongside wider Network and Security teams to assess how well Telecoms providers respond to security incidents
  • Ensure sufficient information is detailed and robust risk assessments delivered
  • Support and management of new legislation
  • Work with compliance monitoring team offering expertise and advice as needed
  • Work with investigation teams and provide technical support
  • Policy implementation - work with Government agencies and wider industry stakeholders to make sure policies are aligned
