Data Analyst - SQL, Power BI, Azure, Specialty Insurance

A London Market Insurer is seeking an industry-specialist Data Analyst. You will be essential in enabling a new data framework across the organization, acting as a subject matter expert within a centralised data team, facilitating communication with multiple business units including Underwriting, Claims, Actuarial and Finance. Your work will support the development of new reporting capabilities, ensuring that the best processes and toolings are utilised.

Successful candidates will require Specialty/Lloyd's/London Market Insurance experience, with a thorough understanding of syndicate operations and procedures. Proficiency in SQL, Power BI, and familiarity with ETL/ELT processes are needed.

This is an Outside IR35 contract for an initial 6 months with the expectation of 2-3 days in the office per week.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with BI team to develop new reporting capabilities
• Leverage the best technologies for data analysis and automation processes
• Identify gaps and opportunities in reporting processes across multiple business divisions
• Respond to ad-hoc data queries and extracts
• Support the development, testing & maintenance of code

Requirements:

• Speciality Insurance is essential
• Good understanding of SQL, Excel and Power BI
• Proficiency in ETL/ELT processes
• Ability to engage with all levels of the business
• SSIS/Azure Synapse experience would be beneficial
