Senior Stack Optimisation System Engineer - Hertfordshire/Remote - Big Data, Linux, Kubernetes, Java

TrinIT Talent are looking for a Senior Stack Optimisation System Engineer to join our customers team based in Hertfordshire twice a week and the rest from home. This is a permanent position paying up to £80,000 per annum depending on experience and company benefits.

Job Description:

This role cohesively spans infrastructure, operating systems, big data frameworks, software and resource management and scheduling. Your focus will be in researching familiar and unknown systems, designing and building solutions and troubleshooting complex cross functional problems and performance bottlenecks across the stack.

Key skills:

  • Managing spikes in the big data environment
  • Awareness of Compute, Storage, Networking and Virtualisation in a distributed compute environment
  • Linux OS fundamentals and troubleshooting
  • Docker/Kubernetes fundamentals and troubleshooting
  • Java fundamentals and troubleshooting
  • Cloud Technologies
  • Infrastructure as a Code
  • Systems Security and Disaster Recovery
