A digital aviation client is seeking a Software Development Engineer to contribute to the development of E-commerce and Front Office solutions for airlines' reservation & ticketing offices, call centers, and self-service check-in. The role focuses on the Booking Engine layer, facilitating customization for airlines through the delivery of a new Digital Experience Suite.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop new features with a focus on quality, including functionalities and technical enhancements.
  • Participate in the support and maintenance of the Digital Commerce product.
  • Use data and metrics for continuous improvement opportunities within the team and train.
  • Collaborate with Agile team members, UI developers, and other stakeholders to achieve delivery objectives.
  • Contribute to the migration of Digital Commerce to the public cloud.
  • Collaborate with other developers within the organization via a community of practices.

Technical Skills:

  • Java development experience
  • REST API/JSON
  • SQL
  • Git
  • Maven, Jenkins
  • Drools
  • Swagger
  • Splunk
  • Scripting (Groovy) - a plus
  • Cloud technologies (Openshift, Docker, Azure, Podman) - a plus
