Front End Developer - Accessibility (Contract)

Front End Developer - Accessibility

SJIT are looking for 2x Accessibility experienced Software Engineers for a 6 month remote project. The role is working with a leading Global Big Four client, bring their vast range of services and products up to code with the European Accessibility Act (EAA).

This is a Front End Developer role with JavaScript, Typescript, HTML, CSS, as essential skills, but you'll need hands on experience with Accessibility, either EAA or WCAG, as the project is solely focussed on this.

Key Skills:

  • Front End Development
    • JavaScript, Typescript, HTML, CSS, jQuery, JSP, NodeJS, NPM
    • Experience with Accessibility EEA or WCAG
      • Leveraging web accessibility features, performing keyboard navigation testing, screen readers

You'll be working on a ticket basis, so experience here would be good (triage/resolution/escalation), but if you communicate well and have the right skill set, we can work on this.

The role will require you to travel to Berlin for onboarding, so you must be able to commit to this. After the onboarding, the role will be fully remote, based in the UK.
