About the role

The Agile Programme Manager at Tecknuovo co-ordinates and manages our portfolio of customer engagements. These engagements are typically highly complex products and services being delivered by one or more teams, at times with a high degree of risk. Each of these engagements can require a bespoke, iterative and flexible approach to help ensure successful customer outcomes.

Working within Delivery as a Agile Programme Manager is incredibly varied and critical for the running of Tecknuovo. The Agile Program Manager helps to set the tone for our approach, developing and improving standards and role modelling positive values and behaviours. They provide mentorship and feedback to junior team members and are exceptional at ensuring the flow of information between stakeholders is frictionless.

Key responsibilities

Risk and activity management

  • Track the internal and external environment, effectively visualising work and prioritising the most important or high value tasks.
  • Be commercially aware, support and understand the constraints of any given engagement and help to navigate those constraints.
  • Manage dependencies of varying complexity, working closely with heads of engagement to plan and feed into other customer initiatives.
  • Be exceptional at identifying and mitigating risks, assumptions and issues, being two steps ahead of everyone else.
  • Effectively portfolio lead across multiple teams engaging in complex delivery initiatives using a variety of delivery approaches.

Communication

  • Build critical internal and external stakeholder relationships to drive the communication you need
  • You assuredly mediate between people and mend relationships, communicating with stakeholders and team members at all levels.
  • Actively listen and engage with stakeholders to understand their needs, mapping that back to the agreed solution and helping teams to deliver their outcomes.
  • Be a catalyst for clear and concise communication, encouraging team members and clients to speak up and share insight.

Quality and outcomes

  • Demand exceptional levels of quality in both outcomes and outputs, leading to high levels of client satisfaction.
  • Help delivery teams to both follow and continuously improve governance and delivery processes.
  • Lean into delivery detail in focus areas where needed to track outcomes effectively and gain required information from associate teams.
  • Where needed, applying your core PM skills to maintain portfolio plans and provide clear updates on progress to internal stakeholders.
  • Collaboratively define and evolve our delivery governance.
  • Effectively support the monitoring of cost and budget.

People

  • Manage and grow a graduate level team of delivery capability
  • Support and coach junior delivery managers and staff, exhibiting positive, authentic values and behaviours.
  • Support the Heads of Engagement by overseeing the delivery of their vision for their portfolio.
  • You help create the right environment for a team to deliver effectively.

Experience required

  • 5+ years of delivery knowledge with a background in successfully achieving complex customer outcomes.
  • Deep understanding of several different delivery methods together with an awareness of their underlying principles, and how those principles can be applied in unconventional environments.
  • Portfolio or risk management at scale.
  • Worked in large or small consultancy environments.
