Application Support Engineer (Contract)
Location: London Country: UK Rate: £450 - £550 per day
Robert Half Technology are assisting a leading Hedge Fund based in London to recruit an Application Support Engineer on a contract basis paying £450 - £550 per day.
Role
- The Application Support Engineer will provide MySQL and T-SQL Database support and maintenance.
- 3rd line technical support and maintenance of in-house and out-of-box applications.
- Improve and support integration between the various applications.
- Improve and support the business workflows within the applications.
- Monitor and support batch system jobs.
- Out of hours support to monitor batch jobs and system alerts.
- Special projects and other duties as assigned
Profile
The Application Support Engineer will have solid experience with the following:
- PHP 5 OOP
- MySQL 5
- HTML 5 & CSS
- Centos/Redhat
- Windows Server 2016/2019.
- Microsoft SQL Server 2016/2019
- Powershell
- FIX messaging for trading applications.
- Shell Scripting with bash.
- Knowledge and practical experience of application security best practices.
- Knowledge of financial data/systems and data warehousing.
