Payments Business Analyst (SEPA Experience Essential) (Contract)

My Financial Services client is seeking an experienced Business Analyst with excellent knowledge of SEPA to join their team for an initial 6 month contract with a view to extension.

About the Role
We are seeking a seasoned Business Analyst with specialized experience in SEPA payments to join our team on a contractual basis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analysing business processes, identifying improvements, and implementing solutions that enhance our payment operations and compliance within the SEPA framework.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct detailed business analysis to understand current processes, pinpoint inefficiencies, and recommend SEPA-compliant solutions.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather business requirements and ensure that the SEPA requirements are clearly understood and implemented.
  • Develop and manage detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resources required to deliver SEPA compliant solutions.
  • Prepare and deliver reports and presentations to senior management to provide updates on project progress and outcomes.
  • Work closely with IT teams to ensure technical implementations align with business needs and SEPA standards.
  • Ensure all business processes and solutions adhere to regulatory requirements for SEPA payments.
  • Assist with the integration and testing of new payment solutions, ensuring compliance and operational efficiency.
  • Provide training and support to users on new systems and processes related to SEPA.

Required Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst, with a strong background in payment systems, specifically SEPA.
  • Deep understanding of SEPA payment schemes and regulatory standards.
  • Experience in managing projects within financial services, particularly related to payment systems and solutions.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to work with complex data sets and financial models.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders across various levels.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, IT, or a related field.

Desirable Skills

  • Certification in Business Analysis (eg, CBAP, PMI-PBA).
  • Experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.

This is an excellent role paying a top daily rate for the right candidate.
