Ir35 - Inside (Must use an umbrella company)

As a Business Analyst specializing in the Higher Education sector, you will play a critical role in bridging the gap between technology and the operational needs of educational institutions. Your primary responsibility will be to analyze data, processes, and systems to provide insights and recommendations that drive strategic decisions and operational efficiencies within the higher education landscape.

Responsibilities:

  1. Data Analysis:

    • Collect, analyze, and interpret data related to student enrollment, retention, academic performance, financial aid, and other key performance indicators.
    • Utilize statistical techniques and data visualization tools to present findings in a clear and actionable manner.
    • Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in data to inform decision-making processes.
  2. Process Improvement:

    • Collaborate with stakeholders across departments to understand existing processes and identify areas for improvement.
    • Develop and document business requirements, workflows, and use cases to support process optimization efforts.
    • Work closely with IT teams to implement technological solutions that enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  3. System Evaluation and Enhancement:

    • Assess the effectiveness of existing systems and tools used in higher education administration, such as student information systems (SIS), learning management systems (LMS), and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
    • Recommend enhancements or alternative solutions to address gaps and improve system performance.
    • Coordinate user acceptance testing and facilitate training sessions for end-users.
  4. Strategic Planning:

    • Contribute to the development of strategic plans and initiatives aimed at achieving organizational goals and objectives.
    • Conduct market research and benchmarking studies to identify industry trends and best practices in higher education administration.
    • Provide insights and recommendations to senior leadership based on data-driven analysis and industry knowledge.
  5. Compliance and Regulatory Analysis:

    • Stay abreast of regulatory requirements and compliance standards relevant to the higher education sector, such as FERPA, Title IX, and accreditation standards.
    • Assist in ensuring institutional compliance through data analysis, reporting, and process alignment.
