Senior Lead - Senior Testing Manager.

• Minimum 15 years Work Experience.

Job Description and Responsibilities:

• As a Distribution IT Test Manager, your primary responsibility will be to oversee the testing efforts within the distribution IT domain. This includes managing the testing team, defining testing scope, and ensuring the quality of software products.
• you'll collaborate with other stakeholders both internal and external, such as developers, business analysts, project managers, Vendors and third party team members, to ensure smooth testing processes.

Qualifications and Skills:

• A successful Test Manager typically possesses the following qualifications and skills:
• Experience: Previous experience in software testing, preferably in the distribution or logistics domain.
• Leadership: Strong leadership skills to guide the testing team effectively.
• Communication: Excellent communication skills to interact with multi-functional teams.
• Technical Knowledge: Understanding of testing methodologies including Agile and WAgile, tools, and best practices.
• Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve testing-related issues.
• Quality Focus: A commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.

Key Tasks and Activities:

• Test Planning: Create test plans, including test scope, objectives, and resource allocation.
• Test Execution: Oversee test execution, monitor progress, and report on test results.
• Risk Management: Identify and manage testing risks.
• Defect Management: Track defects, prioritize fixes, and ensure timely resolution.
• Test Automation: Explore opportunities for test automation.
• Metrics and Reporting: Collect and analyze testing metrics to assess progress and quality.
• Collaboration: Work closely with development teams, business analysts, vendors, and project & delivery managers.

Tools and Technologies:

• Familiarity with testing tools such as Clickup, JIRA, TestRail, Selenium, and TestNG can be beneficial.
• Knowledge of Energy distribution-specific software is advantageous.

Certifications:

• Consider obtaining relevant certifications, such as ISTQB (International Software Testing Qualifications Board) or other industry-specific certifications.

Continuous Learning:

• Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices.

Experienced in understanding the Energy Domina terminology specifically in the areas of Energy Generation, Distribution and Transmission. Have good knowledge of UK Energy sector and organizations such as National Grid, OfGem, ENA etc. Knowledge of DNO, DSO, IDNO and SSEN Network Operations will be advantageous.
