Low Latency Java Developer - FO eTrading - VP/Director level

Our leading tier one investment banking client are looking for a Senior Java Developer to join one of their central eTrading development teams, with a focus on Rates & Credit markets. They're strong advocates for low latency, multithreaded development, using the latest Java technologies across Front Office systems

The team are looking for a Senior engineer at VP or Director level, who can provide Strong logical thinking, problem solving, mathematical and programming skills. Being a Front Office team sat directly on the trading floor, strong interpersonal skills are required

Please note - Low latency programming experience is an essential requirement for this role, and therefore only candidates with demonstrable experience using this will be considered.

Required experience:

• Excellent core Java experience
• Knowledge of high performance, low latency, multi-threading
• Strong banking experience, ideally withing a Front Office team
• Experience of Agile methods, eg TDD best practices, XP and paired programming
• An interest in solving complex business problems, regardless of the industry
• A collaborative mindset and self-starting attitude
• Strong communication skills, regular liaising with FO quants/traders

This role is flexible across both Director & Vice President levels, paying competitive salaries and bonus'. Given this group are sat on the trading floor, bonus figures are considered "business facing" and therefore considerably higher than standard IT figures. Please get in touch for more detail.
