IBM Power BAU Consultant (Contract)
Location: United Kingdom Country: UK Rate: £720 per day
 

SCC Flex Contract: IBM Power BAU Consultant- £720 per day - Inside IR35 - Remote

As an IBM Power BAU Consultant, you will:

  • Install, configure, and maintain IBM Power Systems hardware and software.
  • Handle routine admin tasks like user management and system monitoring.
  • Set up and manage virtual environments using IBM PowerVM.
  • Monitor performance and optimize systems for scalability.
  • Implement high availability and disaster recovery solutions.
  • Manage storage resources and backup procedures.
  • Collaborate on system upgrades, patches, and migrations.
  • Provide timely technical support for hardware and software issues.
  • Document configurations and procedures. Prepare reports using business analytics tools for various audiences.

The successful BM Power BAU Consultant will have experience in:

  • Experience as an IBM Power Systems Administrator.
  • Proficiency in AIX, IBM i, and Linux OS environments.
  • Strong knowledge of IBM PowerVM and virtualization.
  • Familiarity with high availability and disaster recovery solutions.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and documentation skills.
  • Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Relevant IBM certifications are a plus.
