Cloud Engineer (Azure) - Brussels

Hybrid - 2 days a week on-site

We have an amazing opportunity with our client within the public-sector who is seeking to recruit a Cloud Engineer to provide support in setting up an environment within Azure and building the necessary competences within the organisation.

Candidate Requirements:

• University degree in computer science or equivalent acquired through experience.
• Proficient in abstract reasoning across different knowledge domains.
• Be able to always consult a network of expertise through which one can call upon all knowledge domains within IT that are relevant for the use of the Cloud, preferably within the own company where the candidate works.
• Demonstrable knowledge of Azure cloud.
• A real "doer" and results-oriented, with especially in-depth experience within the domain of Cloud and infrastructure.
• Thorough knowledge of microservices, containerisation, DevOps, within an Azure environment.
• Conceptual knowledge of the terms used in database management.
• Thorough knowledge of Cloud Infrastructure-related concepts and related architecture principles.
• Good listener, flexible attitude, and possess the ability to make presentations accessible to the applicable audience, which may differ in level of knowledge regarding IT.
• Technologies used: Azure, Azure DevOps, Terraform, Kubernetes and Cloud Adoption Framework

The role and range of tasks will be at least as follows:

• Fundamentally contribute to the implementation of standards within the organisation for the expansion of the application landscape with a focus on everything related to the use of the Cloud and considering what is already ongoing in this process.
• Follow-up and elaboration of the documentation concerning the delivered environment.
• Implementing Infrastructure as code to set up the Azure landing zones according to the Cloud Adoption Framework principle.
